About Baya

What does "Baya" mean?

Baya means “to speak” — a reference to creating spaces where women articulate truth, expand perspective, and lead with clarity.

At Baya, speaking is not noise.

It is authority.

What is Baya?

Baya is a curated leadership platform for established female founders navigating meaningful expansion.

We work across three primary layers:

• The Circle — peer-level proximity

• Private 1:1 — tailored recalibration

• Expansion Journeys — focused identity intensives

This is not a networking club.

It is structured founder growth.

Who founded Baya?

Baya was founded by Eman Serhan and Pernille Sejer — two founders who recognised that serious growth requires more than strategy. It requires proximity, recalibration, and the right room.

What makes Baya different from other business networks?

Baya is not transactional networking.

We curate small, high-calibre rooms.

We focus on internal capacity before external scale.

We do not offer volume-based community access.

We offer structured expansion environments.

Participation & Commitment

How often do circles meet?

Circles meet fortnightly across a fixed annual journey.

They are not rolling memberships.

Each cohort begins and completes together.

How many founders are in each Circle?

Each Circle is intentionally limited to 4 founders plus facilitator.

This preserves depth, trust, and meaningful dialogue.

What's expected of members?

Presence.

Preparation.

Contribution.

Confidentiality.

Baya is participatory.

The value comes from engagement.

Are meetings in-person or virtual?

We offer both! Most peer circles meet in person in the Sydney area, though we also have virtual options for those who prefer online connection or are located outside Sydney. Privates, journeys and events vary between in-person and virtual formats.
